How Do I Upload My Spare Parts List?

If you don't know how to upload your spare parts to the Marketplace website, no worries, we've got you covered.

Please follow the steps below, which explain how you can easily upload your stock.

Steps On How to Upload Your Spare Parts List:

There are two ways to import your spare parts list. The first is to import your list in bulk using an Excel document. The second method is by adding your products manually on the CSV datasheet we provide.

 Manual Method

Step 1:

    1. First, you would need to log into your Marketplace account
    2. Then open your account menu and click on the ‘Your Listed Products’ tab 
    3. Now, click on the "Import New Products" tab
    4. Finally, click on the second import "New Products tab" to confirm

Step 2:

Now there are three essential columns to fill out:

    1. The part description
    2. The quantity
    3. The price

It's a good idea to fill out the other columns as well. However, if you don't have the extra information, you can leave these blank. 

To proceed, provide information concerning the part description, the quantity & price of the spare parts you want to import.

Step 3:

After adding the required information, sometimes some of the rows will be marked in red. It's important to understand why they are marked in red.

To understand this, you need to hover on the row marked in red, you will then get a brief explanation of what you need to change or remove.

Step 4:

The next step is to check that all your information is correct.

Then click on the 'continue' tab to submit your list.

Congratulations, your stock has been uploaded successfully – as you should be able to see on your account.

Now let's look at the second method of bulk upload, or uploading with an Excel file.

Bulk Upload Method

Step 1:

    1.  List your spare parts item on an Excel datasheet
    2. Now fill in the different columns with the relevant spare parts information
    3. Take into account the three most important columns, which are:
      1. The part description
      2. The quantity
      3. The unit price
    4. Next, save your Excel file as a CSV file. It's important to save it as a CSV in order to have a successful upload to your Marketplace account

Step 2:

    1. Now that this has been successfully saved, click on the 'Upload data from file' tab in order to upload your CSV file
    2. Next step, click "Yes"
    3. In order to confirm the column names, match the columns appropriately. You can choose the right column name through the dropdown icon
    4. Once that's done, click on "confirm mapping"
    5. Do this for the rest of the other columns

Step 2:

    1. After matching all the columns, you can click the 'Review' tab to proceed
    2. If any of the columns are highlighted in red, this means you need to modify the columns
    3. To do this, hover over the rows marked in red and you will get a short explanation of what you need to change
    4. Once all of the modifications have been completed, click the 'Continue' tab to proceed
    5. Submit your file and you are done!
